A Matter that Saves Lives: God's Only Begotten

My name is Kerrian, and I have something to share with you. I'm always encouraged to see people reaching out to others about God, so I’m reaching out to you now. Did you know that righteousness by faith proclaims that Christ and His father will dwell with us? John 14:23. This is “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). This is how we get the righteousness of God by faith in Jesus, Philippians 3:9. Please bear with me.  We are saved by faith in Jesus, John 3:16,17, Jesus said he is the only way to his Father and life when he was on earth, John 14:6. The Bible, in Hebrews 2 especially,  teaches us why Jesus had to come to earth, and in John 1:12, we realize that through him, we are made sons of God. If God does not truly have a son, as most Christian churches teach, because they say that Jesus is God the Father, how could he have come as the second Adam (Romans 5:18,19, lived a victorious life for us John 16:33, and died so he can now have power over death an...

For Fun and Health

Everyone, these days, is afraid of getting a huge gut. 😊 And of course we all understand why, right? Well, huge stomachs, unless you are pregnant, are associated with poor health, right? Sometimes when I'm walking on the road, and I see people with huge stomachs, I wonder how they got those really, big bellies.  I have heard that drinking a lot of beer regularly can cause you to get a big belly. I have heard eating late at nights, and then going to sleep does the same thing. Even lack of activity is said to be a culprit. And maybe these are all legitimate causes. But recently, I discovered another culprit for a big gut. I bet you will never guess what. Seriously, you would never think about this one. Let me give you some time to wrack your brain 😁😁😁😁😁😁. Here it is.....your belly is full of sh_t. Yep. It appears that if you haven't done a detox, especially a colon cleanse in a while, your intestine is packed, and loaded with all that excess baggage.  If you have a tummy,...

The Trade Off

What are you gaining or losing?  Every decision we make in life is a trade off. This is because we are always gaining or losing something, and even both. Sometimes what we gain is more than what we lose. However, it can also be that you lose more than you gain. Let’s say you chose to stay up at nights and play your favorite game.  It gives you pleasure, and you get to feel quite satisfied passing the levels and getting the gems, and the money in the game. But overtime, the trade   off is bad health, poor memory from a lack of sleep, aches and pains from your body not repairing at nights, crankiness from the lack of rest. It might even become more detrimental when you're making decisions. If you examine the end result that is an awful trade - you traded your health for a few hours of fun! When you were playing the game at nights, this never crossed your mind, and if someone came to you and offered the pleasure of the game in exchange for your health, you probably would nev...
Advice for Freelancers! Hello again! I hope this new post finds you in good health and much peace of mind. I know how difficult it can be to try to establish yourself in a new market or even to try anything new. It is always good to start with advice, especially from people who were actually in your position and have done well for themselves. I think advice is especially useful for freelancers or those wanting to be. There are quite a number of people trying to make a living from freelancing. It is quite competitive, so standing out is crucial to getting good business. An acquaintance of mine, Alejandra, recommended a must read for freelancers. I find the information practical and helpful. Maybe it can help you too. You are Special

What makes something valuable? Scarcity. Why? Because if something is not easily found anywhere, it is rare and therefore worth more than what is commonly or easily found. It’s just like diamonds or a rare coin, because it is hard to find, it is valued. Things are even more valuable when they are one of a kind . Now suppose you made something very unique, so unique, there was no other thing like it. And suppose you loved it very much, because it was beautiful or very useful. Would you throw it away? Would you allow this thing that is the only one  of its kind to disappear forever? Would you not try to save it? Would you not try to keep it from being lost? Wouldn’t you protect it? You are valuable. You are one of a kind . You are so unique, the re is no other like you in any form, anywhere . Your DNA is original; not a copy of anyone else. And your designer, God, does not like copies and that’s why you are not a copy. And this is why you are valuable to him , and h...

Never Give Up!

Life can be a chore. Sometimes it gets exciting, and you get hopeful. But sometimes it crashes, like a torpedo taking a dive, and you feel like, well, crap. These ups and downs of life are really based on our feelings. Feelings change everyday, many times. To determine that your life is a failure or success based on your feelings is therefore unreliable and dangerous. Why? We go through so many things everyday. Some things are bad and some things are good. If every time you feel bad about something, you become hopeless and sink into despair, you are putting your whole life at risk, over a moment in time. And conversely, if you have something great going on now and you feel good and make decisions on how you feel, even though you might be happy now, those decisions might make you unhappy later. Never make decisions on your feelings. I know this now, because I have made the mistakes and I have gotten so low in my feelings that I have actually attempted suicide more than once. Don...

Something to Think About

What is Wrong with  Wrong ?         We hear about  sin , we hear about wrong doing, we hear about criminality and all liked terms. Maybe you've even heard of one that I have never heard. Sin is a term used from a moral or religious perspective to define unacceptable states or behaviours. Criminality, on the other hand, just as unacceptable, is defined by established laws, which also encompass moral issues. But why is wrong wrong?        If I should bite you now, what would happen to you? If I should bite you because I hate you, what would happen to you? If you should bite me back, what would happen to you and I? What would happen to us? Wrong doing/being, sin, crime, all these things hurt other people. It hurts us all; it hurts the people who experience it and it makes the ones who do these things worse.  Wrong doing and wrong being does not cause peace. It does not encourage patience, or love, or joy. It creates an...

True Life and Goodness

True Life and Goodness: Why Embrace Jesus? I know some of us hear about Jesus all the time. We hear about him on television, on the street, from neighbors and passersby. And there are those of us who have never heard of him at all. You may be asking yourself, why do I need to hear about Jesus? Or why do I need Jesus? I will offer an answer here. You may not accept it, but I hope you will at least read it. The two main reasons anyone needs Jesus is to be good and to have eternal life. It's simple. We cannot be good on our own. If we could be good on our own, the world would not be as it is now. The plain truth is only righteousness or pure goodness can last. Think about it. Anything that was established from ill-intent or ill-doing caused pain, destruction and loss, but anything that is good, does not result in destruction, providing there is no retaliation against it. Let me explain further. Consider this, if I tell a lie to someone today, it might serve me well now, ...
A Reason to Believe in Jesus By KLS Stephenson Every religion has a deity, if not more than one. But the only religions with a saviour, comes from the same source: Judaism and Christianity. While the Christians have accepted the coming of Jesus Christ and are awaiting his return, the Jews are still waiting for Jesus’ ‘first’ appearance and deliverance from their ‘wilderness’ journey. But, should we all believe in Jesus? Does it make any sense? If you are a Christian, the answer would be plain. But let’s consider the possibility that you aren’t or you are a skeptic. Let’s look at a reason the world needs a saviour. I want you to be honest with yourself. Take a deep breath and look at the world we live in. Inhale it; the violence, the pollution, the wanton disregard and destruction of all life on our planet. Let the mayhem seep into your bones, and take a moment and think about this. Is the direction that the world has taken something to look forward to? Are things getti...
Coal: An Enemy in Disguise I cringed in horror when I began to do some reading about the topic of coal mining and burning. I was shocked to find out that despite the many discussions amongst world leaders about reducing coal usage and seeking out cleaner energy to save our planet, by reducing green house emissions, several of the world’s economic power house countries are still using coal increasingly, because it is cheap. The Union of Concerned Scientists USA and Doctors for the Environment Australia (DEA) both have articles on their sites purporting this very fact; coal for energy is still a big business.  Despite the fact that it is an energy, labour and capital intensive operation, as stated in the article that the Doctors for the Environment Australia wrote, it is still being used primarily to produce electricity in large quantities. The devastating impact that coal has on the societies in which it is mined and or burnt is appalling. I was shocked to note that the c...

The Darkness

Here is a sample short story....                                                     'Darkness'                                                                                  By KLS Stephenson “The night light is yours.” I heard him say. His breath was a sticky brine of alcohol and germs. He needed to brush his teeth. My ankle felt itchy. I scratched it, and as my sharp nails that haven’t been cut for weeks rubbed against my skin, a sweet sensation took over, and I dug my nails further into my own flesh. It became a maddening delight. But then I felt wetness against my finger tips, and then the distinct and pungent smell of blood. In the pale l...

Shan Barlow - No Sunshine

Something to Think About The last time I was here, I told you I had found freedom; I should think about what I want to share as a writer. I wanted to share something today. I'm working on my book to publish on Amazon's online platform. I've changed the cover, name and I even altered the story I had previously self-published. The sales were not encouraging, so I was advised to reinvent the whole book. That's a whole other story for another time. That's not what I wanted to share. In my book, I wrote about bullying, which is something I personally experienced in school. It's a hot topic now. It's everywhere I go on the internet. I wrote about this subject, because it is something that personally concerns me. We have many bullies in our lives. We face them in many ways. Some people believe it's just something you go through at school, and you will get over it. Others might even say, they've never experienced bullying. But I dare you to think a ...
