A Reason to Believe in Jesus
By KLS Stephenson

Every religion has a deity, if not more than one. But the only religions with a saviour, comes from the same source: Judaism and Christianity. While the Christians have accepted the coming of Jesus Christ and are awaiting his return, the Jews are still waiting for Jesus’ ‘first’ appearance and deliverance from their ‘wilderness’ journey. But, should we all believe in Jesus? Does it make any sense?

If you are a Christian, the answer would be plain. But let’s consider the possibility that you aren’t or you are a skeptic. Let’s look at a reason the world needs a saviour. I want you to be honest with yourself. Take a deep breath and look at the world we live in. Inhale it; the violence, the pollution, the wanton disregard and destruction of all life on our planet. Let the mayhem seep into your bones, and take a moment and think about this. Is the direction that the world has taken something to look forward to? Are things getting any better or worse?

Our world leaders have been trying to solve our problems here on earth, sometimes to the point of war. What do they have to show for all their meetings and peace talks and plans? Crime rates continue to soar, diseases continue to ravish populations, the poor suffer more and more every day, and the earth is dying. We are getting nowhere. If we cannot come up with the solution to our own problems, how can we save ourselves or earth for that matter? We can’t even help ourselves now, when will we get it together to do so?

We need help. And not just any help, we need help that is not from among us, but from someone more knowledgeable than us. And we can’t get a quick fix, because the damage to the earth is done and cannot be reversed in its present state. We need a fresh start, but not with everyone here. Not everyone means the world good. So who should get the chance to start over? Who decides? That’s why it makes sense that the help we get is not from among us and the criteria cannot come from us either, who is going to be fair if their life is at stake?

If we continue on our current path, earth will die and so will we. We need a saviour to save us and the earth and to save us from ourselves and the earth from us. If we don’t get help, our entire species will die; the whole earth. That’s where we have slowly been heading to, our death. Why let the whole planet die? If there was a God, that’s when He would intervene to save us, don’t you think? It only makes sense. We need a saviour. Why not Jesus?

Cheers

Never Give Up!

Life can be a chore. Sometimes it gets exciting, and you get hopeful. But sometimes it crashes, like a torpedo taking a dive, and you feel like, well, crap. These ups and downs of life are really based on our feelings. Feelings change everyday, many times. To determine that your life is a failure or success based on your feelings is therefore unreliable and dangerous. Why? We go through so many things everyday. Some things are bad and some things are good. If every time you feel bad about something, you become hopeless and sink into despair, you are putting your whole life at risk, over a moment in time. And conversely, if you have something great going on now and you feel good and make decisions on how you feel, even though you might be happy now, those decisions might make you unhappy later. Never make decisions on your feelings. I know this now, because I have made the mistakes and I have gotten so low in my feelings that I have actually attempted suicide more than once. Don...
A Thought Having a great idea, is like seeing a light in the darkness. It's just like walking out into a beautifully lit moonlight night and beholding heaven in a glance. Good ideas make us feel excited and they can come from anywhere around us: from the water running down your body in the shower, from the sound of your friend laughing at something you are not quite sure of, from the smile of your child, from the sweet taste of fresh ripe fruit or even from utter chaos. But never stop looking for good ideas. If you should want to write something and get writer's block, just take the time to observe your surroundings. Examine it with an open mind. Inhale and exhale, take note of the sounds, smells, textures and all that is happening around you. Behold the story of life unfolding before you and your idea is somewhere there waiting for you to discover it. And the explorer in you will find it, soon enough. Enjoy....
